Artwork

What kind of art file do I need to have for my order?

It would be preferable as an editable EPS file or it can be in other vector formats. This type of format is known generally as an Illustrator file as it will have been generated by the designers’ choice of software Adobe Illustrator. If this has you puzzled, then feel free to email or call a member of the sales team. If you do not have an editable EPS file to hand, then we advise our clients to get in touch with the designer(s) of their logo. We can, as a last resort, offer you a redraw service for a small charge should you require it. On occasion and dependent upon the product, we can accept high resolution photos and pdfs. [back to top]

How do I get my artwork to you?

You can simply attach the file to an email and send it directly to a member of the sales team sales@LogoX.com Should the file be too large to send via email even when compressed as a zip file, then we suggest one of the web sites such as wetransfer.com [back to top]

What if I don't have any artwork?

If your logo is a simple piece of text, then all we would require is the font and pantone color of the text, then we can set that up for you free of charge. If your logo is more complicated then as stated earlier, we do offer a re-draw service, where a small charge is normally incurred with this process. [back to top]

Can I print a specific PMS color?

You can indeed! Most Corporations have specific pantone colours for their artwork and are very protective of their branding. There is a Pantone color system chart on our website for to choose from http://www.logox.com/pantone_chart.html. In terms of the promotional item color, many of the LogoX.com products are available for pantone matching. [back to top]

What is a PMS color?

A PMS color is a specific shade of color found from the Pantone Matching System. This is the standardized reference for the printing world. PMS 729 would be an example of a PMS color. Here is a link to show the Pantone color chart http://www.logox.com/pantone_chart.html [back to top]

What does full color process mean? Do I need it?

This process is also referred to as the four color process or CMYK printing. The full color process is for an image that does not contain solid colors. By this we mean the artwork could contain shading or fading colors. If you logo contains solid colors then the process you would require would be what’s called the spot color printing process. If you are having any difficulties or are in anyway unsure, then fell free to email your logo to the sales team and we will be happy to take a look at it for you. [back to top]

Do you keep my artwork on file?

Yes we usually do and will generally keep it for 2 years. This is so if you ever want to re order promotional items, it will be an even easier and smoother process than when you first enquired. [back to top]

What kinds of images can I print and what are the different printing processes?

You can print anything you have legal permission to print. However, as a company we refuse to print any inappropriate image, adult content or anything offensive. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Having said that, if your images contain very small graphic detail or text, depending on the area on the product it is being printed on, we may advise accordingly as sometimes, small letters such as the letter e may fill in - What is screen printing? Screen printing is quite probably the most widely used of the print processes due to its versatility. It is due to this versatilty that it is used to print on a variety of materials including metal, plastics, fabrics, wood and of course paper. You will find that most types of signage and posters are screen printed along with many other items including T Shirts and the like. One of the advantages of using screen printing is that it can be used for virtually any size or shape of product. One of the major benefits of using the screen print process is that a greater thickness of ink can be applied compared to other processes. Alongside that, a greater range of colors (inks) or dyes can be applied to the product and will also allow for a greater range of printing effects compared to other print methods. - What is off-set lithography? Printing processes such as offset lithography use printing plates to transfer an image to paper or other substrates. The plates may be made of metal, plastic, rubber, paper, or other materials. The image is put on the printing plates using photomechanical, photochemical, or laser engraving processes. The image may be positive or negative. - What is heat stamping? Heat stamping, or hot stamping, is a process in which an engraved images mold or hot stamping die is heated then forced down against a product with a colored marking foil sandwiched in between. The area where the die cast mold meets the product is where the ink from the foil is left behind. Heat stamping can be used to mark a multitude of different materials, mostly plastic and wood. The most attractive aspect of heat stamping is that it is a dry process, so there is no need to worry about mixing inks. What is laser engraving? Laser engraving is the practice of using lasers to engrave, etch, or mark an object. The technique can be very complex, and a computer system is used to drive the movements of the laser head. Despite the complexity, very precise and clean engravings can be achieved at a high rate. - What is embossing? Embossing is a highly decorative technique. It raises surfaces to transform ordinary, flat, and lifeless material into uniquely contoured, 3-dimensional patterns. Most often used on letterhead, business cards, certificates, and logos, embossing enhances any design and gives your product a look of sophistication and style. - What is debossing? Debossing pushes the surfaces of materials inward via a heat-pressing process. Often used for logos and titles. Debossing enhances the appearance of your products by adding depth. [back to top]

Can you print my college or pro sport team logo?

We would be unable to print anything that you do not have licensing agreements or authorization for. This would be for anything whether it’s a football team, college or even Disney. [back to top]

Samples

Can I get a free sample?

We stock a variety of samples that we can send out free of charge, and are happy to do so. However, due to the thousands of promotional products available, we would need something the size of a football stadium to hold everything in so sometimes there may be a delay in receiving your sample as we would need to order it in for you. Under $10, samples are free of charge if you have a shipping account with UPS or FedEx, which we’ll use to cover the shipping charges. Customers without shipping accounts will always pay for standard samples. Our standard samples may feature branding from an organization that has had the particular item before or in some cases, no artwork. These are always available online, via any product page. Apparel samples are never free. Please be aware that if the sample is not returned then a charge for the price of the item will be included. [back to top]

How can I see what my imprint will look like?

Here at LogoX.com we can offer you a visual or digital mock-up, to help give you an idea of what your product will look like before it is printed. In addition, as part of our systems and procedures, we will email across to you an artwork file before the order is put into production. This way you will be able to see what your logo or brand will look like on the item and you can then decide whether or not to approve the artwork. If you do not like the way your promotional item is going to look, do not worry, let us know and will take care of it. [back to top]

Can I get a single sample of my item with my imprint before printing a whole order?

Yes we can do this but regrettably, this service is costly due to the cost of setting up the screens and machines to do the print. The cost is usually the cost of whatever the minimum quantity required to order is. That said, sometimes you will be offered a pre production sample where the quantity amounts to several thousand or if our printers advise that a sample would be best served before proceeding with the full run. [back to top]

Payment

What are my options for payment?

Your options for payment are all major Credit Cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, BACS (Bank) Transfer or by Corporate check. Should you wish to pay by check, please note that we will, in the vast majority of cases, wait for the payment to clear prior to processing any orders. If you have an account already set up or are a Fortune 500 Company, A US Government or Public Educational facility, then Purchase Orders to the value of $250 or more can be accepted. We would need the following details to accept the PO: - An email address where we can deliver order information - PO Reference number - Billing address, contact person, phone number, and fax number - Shipping address, contact person, and phone number - - Your Purchase Order terms and conditions, if used - Please note that we cannot process an order on a departmental purchase requisition. A company purchase order is required. If your Purchase Order indicates terms and conditions please include them with the order. Standard payment terms are Net 30. Payment must be in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. Bank. [back to top]

Other than product cost, what other charges will I have for my order?

The standard charges that will incur are the charge for the printer setup, which is also known as origination and the delivery charge, which is also known as carriage. There could be further charges depending on the complexity of your order. For example, a re-draw (if your logo is not available in the relevant format), a pantone color matching charge and express charges for when you have a very tight schedule. [back to top]

Can I return my order?
